Is mojito co*cktail or mocktail?

A traditional mojito is a co*cktail as it is made with rum. Any blended drink that contains alcohol can be called a co*cktail. However, our mint mojito recipe makes a fantastic mocktail. There is no alcohol in our drink! Just a tasty blend of non-alcoholic ingredients.

Is mocktail an alcoholic?

Mocktails do not contain alcohol. Mocktails are beverages that are made to look and taste like classic co*cktails but without the alcohol. Mock co*cktails is what a mocktail really is!

Which is the best mocktail?

There are sooooo many incredible mocktails out there. Our page is full of them! It all depends on your favorite flavors and what you like to drink. If you love refreshing mint and lime juice, then this mojito mocktail is exactly what you need.

Is a mojito a girly drink? Is mojito a woman's drink?

No way! A mojito is just for anyone who loves fresh mint and lime flavors. Mojitos are for people who have great taste.

Do you shake a mojito?

You do not need to shake a mojito. In fact, if you shook a mojito, the club soda would lose a lot of its fizz. Simply muddle the mint, sugar, and lime juice, add some ice and club soda to the glass, give it one quick stir, then enjoy!

Is a mojito served with ice?

Our mojito is served with ice. It is definitely best when chilled!

Why do you slap mint?

If you are talking about muddling mint, then we have an answer for you! Mint is muddled to help release the natural oils in the leaves. The oils are where all the flavor lies. When you grind the mint with the rough sugar, those oils come out and your drink becomes delicious.

How do you get the most flavor out of mint?

Muddle it! Breaking up the mint and grinding it with the sugar gets all the flavor out of the leaves.

Why is it called a mojito?

The name “mojito” could have come from a few different sources. Mojadito means “a little wet” in Spanish which could be one origin of the word mojito. A Cuban, lime-based seasoning called mojo may also be the root of the word mojito.

Some say the drink was created by African slaves working in the fields of Cuba. They would make drinks for their owners similar to mojitos. Mojo can also mean “to place a little spell”, so the slaves would mix up these magic concoctions and give them to the plantation owners. No matter the origin of the word, we know it is a drink we adore!

What does mocktail stand for?

Mocktail means “mock co*cktail”. It is a co*cktail that is made without alcohol.
